Welcome Home Heroes
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development estimated that there were 39,471 homeless veterans in 2016.[i] Veterans who have mental illness, trauma, and physical injury after returning from their assignments are more likely to have a hard time qualifying for home loans. Even with VA loans, many of them still pay more than they can afford for housing. In light of this need, the AREAA Foundation launched the Welcome Home for Heroes Housing Assistance Program in 2015 to provide qualified military families with housing financial assistance and professional counsel.
In exchange for their service to our country, Veterans deserve assistance in purchasing a home.
